Education Gold Coast introduces St Mels School in Shepparton, for all your education and learning needs.
St. Mel's School is situated in Shepparton South located in the Goulburn Valley. St Mel's has a rich diversity of cultures that culminate in an exciting community, enriched in a strong Catholic Faith. Our enrolment in 2012 is 289 students and we have 12 classrooms and a number of dedicated support staff.
We have high expectations of our students, both academically and socially. It is important to us that when students leave at the end of grade six, they have performed as best they can in all areas of the curriculum.
It is equally important that they leave as happy, well adjusted and responsible students who are able to lead by example. St. Mel's School works hard to provide all students with appropriate support throughout their time with us. We are a proud Catholic school, teaching and developing Christian Values, in order to bring out the best in our students.
In 2012 we are excited to be introducing iPads into our Early Years classrooms to complement the use of iPods and desktop computers. Our Lower Years students have access to laptops at a one to two ratio allowing for more diverse and extensive learning opportunities. For our Upper Years students we are excited to be implementing a one to one laptop program where students not only have access to a laptop as learning tool at school but also for home use. Combined with Flip video cameras, digital photo cameras and various other ICT devices we are confindent that we can provide a very diverse and enriching learning and teaching program.
Welcome to St Mels School one of the popular educators in your Shepparton area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
