Education Gold Coast introduces Croydon Primary School in Croydon, for all your education and learning needs.
Croydon Primary School is located in Central Croydon on a bushland site of 4 hectares. Our school is located in a culturally and socially diverse community. Children are representative of a broad range of family structures and the school aims to cater for a diversity of individual needs. The school's Family Occupation Density is 0.61. 56% of students receive EMA. Refugee and ESL student population is 13.9%. At the beginning of 2010 we merged with Croydon North Primary School onto our site. With any merger, it takes time to adjust to the new identity for staff, students and parents.
Our vision for Croydon Primary School is in line with D.E.E.C.D. (the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development) vision that every young child at our school thrives, learns and grows to enjoy a productive, rewarding and fulfilling life while contributing to their local and global communities. We are educating our students to become successful learners, confident and creative individuals and active and informed citizens as outlined in the Melbourne Declaration on Educational Goals for Young Australians, on which our future Australian Curriculum is based. The community ethos is strong with a hardworking and supportive school council, parents and friends' association and the wider Croydon community.
Evidence-based strategic planning for improved student learning, enhanced student engagement and wellbeing, and successful transitions and pathways provide clear direction for school improvement initiatives that build on current practice at Croydon Primary School.
Welcome to Croydon Primary School one of the popular educators in your Croydon area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
