Seaview Downs Primary School is a happy and proud school of 230 students from Reception to Year 7, with a reputation for motivated students, committed staff and highly interested parents/carers. Its motto Together Inquire Inspire reflects the close community feel of the school where students are well supported and there is an educational emphasis on Inquiry Based Learning which promotes problem solving, deeper thinking and genuine engagement in learning.
Maximum effort is put into offering rich learning programs which support, challenge and extend all learners to achieve to the best of their abilities. The school priorities are Literacy and Numeracy, with targeted programs that support students at risk and that challenge those with high skills levels; also Student Wellbeing with a clear focus on healthy eating, increased physical activity, anti-harassment and the development of our core values: Trust, Confidence, Responsibility, Equality and Self-worth.
Whole class, choral and instrumental music are strong features, while Japanese is the specialist language. Senior Student programs include Tournament of Minds, Festival of Music, Pedal Prix and SAPSASA Sports.
We have a Christian Pastoral Support Worker for 12 hours / week.
Over the past five years, government funding has enabled the building of a school gym, the installation of interactive whiteboards in all classrooms, the creation of outdoor covered areas as well as recarpeting throughout and some painting.
Welcome to Seaview Downs Primary School one of the popular educators in your Seaview Downs area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
