Education Gold Coast introduces Munno Para Primary School in Munno Para, for all your education and learning needs.
Munno Para Primary School was opened as a holding school in 1978. The school began with 420 students from Reception to Year 7. The first principal was Mr Roy Williams who stayed until 1981.
The gym was built in 1982 and we had a fire in the transportables in 1983.
The eighties saw great change with new brick classrooms, A and B blocks. Then in the nineties, C block, the Resource Centre and the Administration building were completed.
The first playground was erected with the help of a combined working bee with the then Smithfield Council, The R.A.A.F., Parents and School Council. The new playground has just been built and has the thumbs up by the students.
In 2000 we opened a time capsule that was buried in 1988 and invited former students and staff back for the occasion.
2010 saw Munno Para Primary School receive some $2.5 Million as part of the Labor Government's Building Education Revolution. These were vital resources for our school and as a result we were able to build a state of the art covered outdoor learning area. We were also able to replace our old demountable buildings with a new 4 classroom block giving us greater learning environments.
Welcome to Munno Para Primary School one of the popular educators in your Munno Para area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
