Muswellbrook Public School is a large school set in a rural mining town located on the north side of town, partially surrounded by new and established housing. We are committed to upholding our school motto of "Humanity and Excellence".Our school aims to provide all children with a strong framework for excellent academic, moral, social and physical wellbeing which will allow them to become valuable members of a balanced and caring local community. The welfare of the students at our school is seen as the key to the overall development of our students and we pride ourselves in our personal development programs. We aim to provide quality explicit instruction in the six key learning areas with a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy. A variety of extracurricular activities are offered through our school programs including drama, library, computers and catering for children of all abilites with students given opportunities to excel in the arts, sports and public speaking. Muswellbrook Public School is committed to the innovative use of technology throughout K-6 with the use of interactive whiteboards and computers in every classroom and a well resourced computer room.
