Education Gold Coast introduces Tangara School in Mittagong, for all your education and learning needs.
Tangara SSP is a school which provides programs to support the development of students with intellectual disabilities and moderate to high support needs. The school is set in a rural environment, providing a calm and peaceful setting in which students learn to grow and progress towards a fulfilled, active life in our community. Our vision is to provide stimulating, quality programs within a supportive, caring environment so that all students may reach their full potential. This vision is achieved with parent and community support, a supportive, meaningful and active team approach, and through carefully negotiated and planned programs designed to meet individual student needs. Through close liaison with community agencies, community volunteers, and the NSW Department of Education and Training, Tangara SSP offers a wide range of academic, therapeutic, vocational training, independent living and leisure programs for students whose ages range from four to eighteen. In certain circumstances students may continue their program to age nineteen, or twenty in special cases.
