Education Gold Coast introduces RADFORD COLLEGE in Bruce, for all your education and learning needs.
Radford College caters for students from Year 5 to Year 12 and for 3 & 4 year olds in our new Early Learning Centre. There is a strong sense of vision and an exceptionally caring environment. Radford encourages students to achieve their best by fostering positive self-esteem that regards personal achievement as worthy of effort. We present our policies and practices within a balanced liberal education. A liberal education equips children not only with the ability to learn but also with the spiritual, moral and aesthetic senses that will enable them to perceive or to construct values in their lives. Pastoral care in High School and Senior School (Years 8 to 12) is within the Tutor Group (20-23 students). The Tutor is responsible for the general oversight and care of the students in that Group. Areas of responsibility include such matters as academic progress, social adjustment, attendance, and contact with parents. Tutors meet with their pastoral care groups on a daily basis. Coordination of the pastoral care system is provided by Year Coordinators so as to provide a general consistency and a framework for the discipline and pastoral care of students. Pastoral care in Middle School (Years 5-7) is within the tutor group. The tutor is the main point of contact between the parents and the School . Parents who wish to discuss matters relating to the progress of their child should contact the tutor in the first instance, unless the matter is relatively straight forward and can be dealt with by the student’s teacher.Welcome to RADFORD COLLEGE one of the popular educators in your Bruce area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
