Education Gold Coast introduces Painting For Beginners in Fitzroy, for all your education and learning needs.
Classes are 3 hours, and run on Monday and Tuesday mornings and evenings. Evening classes include wine and gourmet cheeses, and morning classes includes freshly brewed coffee and cakes.
Beginners:
This class is designed for the complete beginner, and through a series of exercises and examples the student learns the fundamentals of painting, including choice of mediums and materials, preparing to paint, basic colour theory, and composition.
A specifically designed 8-week course enables the student to confidently continue painting at home. This course is also recommended for those wishing to refresh old skills.
Intermediate and advanced:
This class is offered to beginners who wish to continue after completing the 8-week beginners course, or those with some prior painting experience. Students work on a mixture of set projects and their own interests, and are encouraged to develop their own language and direction. All students continue to receive one-on-one teaching.
Basic equipment is available for student use at the studio, including easels, palettes and drawing boards. Enrolling students are given a small materials list for paints and other materials required.
Students are welcome to enrol at any time, and all classes include a mix of beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Each student works at their own pace and receives one-on-one attention.
All students are invited to exhibit in our annual end of year exhibition, a fun opportunity to show family and friends what you have been doing.
