Fairview Heights State School, which is in the Darling Downs and South West Region of the Queensland Department of Education, Training and the Arts, was established in 1995 on the north-western outskirts of Toowoomba to cater for the growth in population in the area.
Our school has a strong emphasis on values education. We actively promote the values identified by this community as being the most important for good citizenship. These are:Respect, Responsibility, Cooperation, Confidence, Honesty and Individual Dignity, Participation and Worth. These values form the basis of our Responsible Behaviour Plan with all children encouraged to become selfmanaging aligned with the values. We have a strong belief in children forming connections with others not just in their own grade area, but across the school. We encourage our older children to look out for, and take care of, younger children and provide many opportunities for this to occur.
