Education Gold Coast introduces William Light R-12 School in Plympton, for all your education and learning needs.
Bec Dodd, a 2011 William Light R-12 School graduate has been awarded a University of Adelaide Principal’s Award worth $5000 to support her first year at Adelaide University studying a Bachelor of Music specialising in Music Education.
We are all proud of Bec’s achievements. I nominated her for this Award because of the wonderful contribution she has made throughout her 13 years at William Light School and in recognition of her commitment and determination to enter university and continue her studies in music. Over the years, it has been a pleasure to watch her develop into a mature and talented young person. She has worked hard to achieve her best in all she has undertaken and has been suitably rewarded.
Bec recorded exceptional grades for her year 12 studies in Biology, English Communications, Music Ensemble, Solo Performance, Musicianship, Physical Education and her Research Project which compared different methods of learning the piano. As well as excelling in her studies, she was a Sports House Captain and a member of the William Light Girls Open Volleyball team that were state champions in 2011.
Welcome to William Light R-12 School one of the popular educators in your Plympton area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
